Rova's front four leading the charge
#1
One of the surprising success stories through the first half of this SSL season has been CS Rova Mpanjaka. Through 10 matches, the affiliate of Liffeyside Celtic FC is second in the table with an 8-2 record, having a six-match winning streak recently snapped by North Shore United before bouncing back with a dominant 5-0 victory against Rapid Magyar FC. A big reason for their success has been the play of their offense, led by returning striker Tank Denstro and augmented by returning attacking mids Orla Hughes-Galloway and Heung-Man Smalls and rookie Robbie Schuurmans on the right side.

Through 10 matches, Denstro has been the major sparkplug of the offense with 9 goals and 3 assists, and has had a lot of chances to put the ball in the net on penalty kicks that have been drawn by himself and others. Behind him, attacking mids Orla Hughes-Galloway and Heung-Man Smalls have been putting in strong work as well with each scoring 6 goals through the first 10 matches, being able to both put the ball in the net and set up other chances by banging around up front, causing defensive mismatches and drawing fouls that their teammates can convert, having drawn 37 fouls between them while committing just 13. On the right side, Robbie Schuurmans has been an excellent replacement for the promoted Takeda Takahashi in his rookie year, scoring 3 goals of his own while adding 5 assists. As Rova keeps pushing for the division title, these four will need to continue producing at the rate they have been to help the young, exciting Rova side in this endeavour.
