It's officially going to be the 25th season of SSL, and with many draft classes of the past it is time to look towards the future. And while it's in the early days of the draft class, and only so many players have committed; we have a very exciting group of new players and those that will soon become All-Star and important members of the teams that decide to draft them in the minor and the major leagues. In this in-depth article we will look at the current draftable players in each position and we will talk about their best attributes and where they can improve.
ATTACKERS:
-- Strikers
This season 25 Academy will be busy with the variety of strikers we have in this draft class. While we only have 3 currently; it doesn't mean the other prospects can't be drafted and grow into a great striker if the striker prospects don't blow the minds of scouts. However... I think they will. Our only right-footed striker might be the player with the best pace of all current prospects; Vincent Haye (@Duilio05 ) places and tries first time shots but with their pace it's possible many of their shots go in the goal. We have two left-footed striker prospects. Vivi Nefertari (@sköldpaddor ); has great acceleration and pace but something to look out for is; they can also out-dribble many of the best defensive prospects in this class. Armero Staple (@vinsky ) is our best finishing prospect; they get into the opposition area and with their quick acceleration they will certainly be someone who shoots a lot in the academy.
-- Central Attacking Midfielders
With 2 Central Attacking Midfielders in the draft teams can look at getting a player like Dr DoofenWirtz (@Big Newff ) who is a player that focuses in Agility, First Touch and Dribbling; or someone like Camelot Darugius (@BFMV_RuNn3r ) who's Acceleration and Dribbling is higher than most and has the Flair to go along with it.
-- Left Attacking Midfielders
Of our two LAM's we have Chris McZehrl (@Chris-McZehrl ), while there is still time for this left-footed player to adapt to something specific; this well-rounded player moves into channels and is real different from his right-footed other prospect. Phil Space (@Toasty ) is our other Left Attacking Midfielder Prospect and while this prospect likes to Dictate the tempo and shoot from a distance; they still need to find what kind of physical, mental and technical player they will grow to be.
-- Right Attacking Midfielders
Zay Bailey (@Heart0verheight3 ) is someone who, quote, "Tries Tricks". They also have a flair to their game and with high agility and acceleration this is an attacker that many teams will be looking at if this type of player is someone they like.
MIDFIELDERS:
-- Central Midfielders
One of the busiest positions in terms of prospects is the CM position. Vyacheslav Shevchenko (@Jakesdy ) plays one-twos however they need to find their niche as they are well-rounded in many attributes. Sharko Demarco (@TheAmericanPineapple ) is a player that cuts inside from both wings but only excels in Work Rate and Dribbling. Lastly is, Karlach Cliffgate (@Jackienape ) this is a player whose Acceleration and Pace will help with all the Killer Balls they try.
