Hello again, this is Grimace back with another uninformed analysis. This offseason I made the hard decision to move on from the squad that drafted me, Schwarzwälder FV where I played several seasons for their minor team Montréal United. First off thank you to everyone in that organization as they were very kind to me and welcoming. I've chosen to join the Xelajú Cósmico FC / AF Masques Sacrés. Not important - but I'm very happy with the team names and motifs for both squads I've been on. There are some others out there that maybe wouldn't excite me as much.
The minor team, Montreal, had some struggles but that was due to a lot of call ups to the major squad but Grimace was not among them. I didn't require a call up to make me happy but one of the deciding factors was looking at who would be "ahead" of Grimace on that squad and where he would fit in. I felt like playing LWB and seeing two on the squad ahead of him, one of those from the very same draft class, there was less room for him. A quick glance at the Xelaju right now shows not a LWB in sight. Does a team need a LWB? Do they need multiple? I don't really know. Like I said I am rather uninformed. Are there secondary positions for a reason and can be played elsewhere? Absolutely, but Schwarz FC also seems full of those I've chosen for Grimace. Xelaju had a need and I wanted a spot. Granted he will be starting his career with Xelaju on the minors team, les Masques, but it's also a better performing team at this moment. It's stocked with young, earning players and has more talent (TPE) spread out among the roster as opposed to sitting top heavy while thin down the rest of the roster. Is this "analysis" based on numbers and stats and breaking down how the team performs or is it just my personal justification for making the switch? Probably the latter and maybe I can expand on it later but I hope this describes a little about where my head is at before the next season begins.
