The Draft. Is there anything better than the SSL Draft Day? The suspense, the intrigue and most of all, the possibility of the next SSL legend. The question is,, who is this gonna be?
One of the most balanced players is definitely Capy Bara, with the youngster being able to play in sides as a wingback. Having focused on his positioning definitely show the more defensive orientation of the new player, but high crossing and dribbling might mean that a more attacking player is on the works.
A clear choice for anyone’s defence is the Canadian centerback Pierre Houde. Good in the air, strong and with high defensive qualities, looks like many great battles will be fought in front of the goals of the team that will draft him.
The most physical player is for sure Videl Valor, The wingback from Tokyo is still unclear if he is gonna be more of a technical player or a pacy scorer on either the right or left wing.
Great future is expected for Marianne Maltais, with balance on both physical and attacking qualities. Positioning in all three positions behind the number 9, the Canadian is a really interesting prospect.
Canada is still producing great prospects, with another balanced player covering all the right side. Mike Checker is a white page for every team, that could be formed by any determined coach into a great athlete.
Bringing some of that British strong defence, Manc Sator Freddy is a very interesting Draft. The centerback looks pretty full in both tackling and headers, so a few years in a good SSL league will prove how high he can go.
Wearing a name that means a lot to the real fans of the SSL, Jay Jay Okocha is also in the prospect list this season. Highly technical and dribbly, the Nigerian will offer an amazing show to all the fans of the good game.
