Inter London came into this week in first place in Division Two of the minor league. Lucky for them, they had the chance to take matchday five off as they had their first bye game of the season. They took this chance to regroup after the first four fixtures and work on more technical stuff on the practice field. There was a lot of work on ball control, dribbling, and specific shooting drills, as they have been winning games despite their poor shooting percentage.
They did have a midweek fixture against CF Catanlunya in the round of 16 of the cup. They were defeated 4-3 in a very entertaining match against the first-place team in Division Two of the Majors. Pope Francis, Benjamin Munro and Daibhi Barr were all able to get their names on the scoresheet, but Catanlunya did score in extra time that eventually saw out the game. Kakou might've played the game of his life, making 18 saves on 22 shots on target but was somehow not the player of the match. Although this ends Inter London's cup run, they performed admirably for a minor league side.
Matchday six saw Inter London win 5-3 against Athenai FC. Benjamin Munro and Ryan O'Neill both scored a brace each, with Joao Mendes also getting in on the action. Mendes also added an assist, continuing his impressive start to the season. The extra practice worked wonders for London, as they were able to get 10 shots on target from 17 total. Scoring 8 goals over two matches this week is a great sign of things to come.
