Cal Labovitch recently signed an upgraded contract for this season, bumping his annual pay up to a decent 2 million SSL dollars. The talented, young, Swiss, right wing attacking midfielder has had a fairly good rookie season, coming into the team in a starting spot on his favourite position and working his way up to 2 goals, 2 assists and a demonic 6.66 average rating.
With an 85.98% pass percentage, and 28.3% cross percentage there's still plenty to improve, but the one time player of the match is still young and has shown incredible skill and improvement while adapting to his new surroundings and the level of play in the Simulation Soccer League.
Cal's team, Athênai F.C., finished the S2 season in 2nd place, 9 points behind Hollywood F.C.. The Athênai team recorded only 3 losses and 3 draws in 14 games, which saw them take a 4 point lead over Inter London in 3rd place. In the SSL Cup, Hollywood F.C. proved to be too strong for the Athênai side as well, leading to a semi finals exit after a 3-0 aggregate loss.
With the league expanding and the team losing midfielder Laurent Gourcuff (CA Buenos Aires) and left wing back A Singluar Tub of FaceBerry GFuel (Sydney City) to the two expansion teams, Cal Labovitch will be looking to play an increasingly important role for the team. He has focused on staying in shape over the summer, and has already shown to be of value to the team as he gave the assist on the opening goal of the Athênai F.C. match versus Tokyo S.C. earlier this week.
