Expanding Horizons?
#1
With the announcement of two new expansion squads for next season, and the fact of the matter being that Pascal Anivierre is the newest guy on the block, he has to begin to prepare of what seems to be an almost inevitable possibility that he will end up on another team at the start of next season. While his contract does run through the end of this season into the end of next season, Pascal believes that any team that would want him as an expansion target would simply take that contract into their own payroll and so would not be a consideration. Pascal enjoys being in Cairo - the scenery is incredible, and while it is much hotter than he is used to, it has only helped him maintain his fitness and if anything increased his endurance on the pitch. He's had the opportunity to improve his game significantly as the season has progressed thanks to the coaching and guidance of the Cairo coaches, and is very grateful for that. Pascal certainly doesn't actively want to leave. He does recognize that sometimes business decisions must be made in the world of football, though, and understands that he is a likely person to be taken from his current team due to his youth and inexperience. He could end up being one of the greatest players of all time, or he could end up being a solid team player, or he could end up being a bust in all entirety. Pascal certainly believes that he can be one of the best of all time, but who knows what may happen in a different scheme? He's scored 6 goals on the season, 3 of which were penalty shots, and has a xG of 5.61. However, Pascal has one of the worst average ratings in the league, all the way down at 6.51. It is in fact bottom 10, and Pascal is quite upset with himself over this. He has to be performing better, and has committed to getting the basics down pat for the rest of this season and come back with a vengance next season. If it is with Cairo, Pascal will be pleased. If it is with a new team, Pascal will not complain and will do his best to be the best he can in that new city.
