Introducing the one, the only, Willie Normous!
Let's talk about Willie Normous’ beginnings. Willie hails from the Cathedral City of St. Albans, Hertfordshire in the great England. Raised by simple folk, WIllie grew up playing football with all the other neighborhood kids. From those humble beginnings, Willie learned to play the game and what it means to play as a team. Constantly being shuffled around positionally, Willie found himself learning both sides of the game. Though he found a home in playing defense, he was also useful playing midfield. When he reached 16 years of age, he started playing as a wingback. The wingback position is a unique way of playing as a two-way fielder. While yes, you are on defense, you are also expected to pitch in on offense while wide. With his early years shuffling positions, Willie finally found his home position and is ready to take his play to the next level.
The Next Level
With the S6 prospect draft over, and Willie being selected 13th overall by Cairo City Football Club, it is Willie’s time to shine. While Cairo is a long way from home, Willie is ready to withstand the heat of the desert and help bring the club to glory! Willie traveled the 32km south to London to board a plane. Destination, the Egyptian capital of Cairo. Once the plane touched down, Willie was greeted by a team sponsor to drive him to his temporary residence. Once there, Willie was barely able to unpack before the team nutritionist, assistant coach, and Willie’s agent, Tom O’Hellya. Everything was covered. Diets, workout schedules, team practices, and most importantly, salary. With a strict diet and a healthy workout schedule, Willie expects to be in fit form and ready for his first match wearing the gold and brown kits. This first week in Egypt is going to be a lot of fun and a lot more work.
