The first half of the season is over. Gotta sat I do like Cairo chances to stay at the top division this season. Matter of fact, there is a chance to aim at something bigger than just keeping the division 1 spot. The addition of Noodle and T. Possible did wonders with this team, though the latter is a short term asset. Even with losing Azpilicueta to Sydney didn't slow down the production and right now we're sitting at the 4th place with only one loss to Catalunya in MD 1. However, I feel like Cairo should've been higher at the standings. There are some reasons behind that, I'm pretty sure about that.
Other than a shit luck, I think Elmis has been a huge let down so far. This is also the reason why I needed to write this article other than I don't have to write a media in VHL this week. I'm not sure what the fuck happened with the heresy king, but this is just sad. His highlight from this season is a penalty save against Catalunya....which happened in MD 1. He had some decent showings afterwards, but for the most part he is probably the most regressed player in Cairo right now. Lots of goals that should've been saved and I don't even need to deep dive to provide an example. Last game against Hollywood, the 2nd goal by them. Last season Elmis would've denied that without breaking a sweat, but this time he lets kind of a garbage goal, let's be honest. I'm really not sure what happened with him. Did the last season heroics propped up his ego to the stratosphere and he decided to not try anymore? Hey he won a goalie battle against Barflett, now he is untouchable my ass. I'm really not sure, but I'm in fact frustrated in his play now. Now he has a second leg of the season to try prove me wrong, but I do feel like this is a lost season for Elmis. Good thing the rest of Cairo isn't sharing this sentiment.
