Promotion in London
#1
They've gone and done it! London made some major moves in the offseason and each of them has paid major dividends on their way to leading London to promotion! to the top division! And what a stark contrast this season was to Tata's rookie campaign! In season 5, the London club finished with 5 goals scored and 20 goals allowed; a pathetic -15 goal differential. They were also worst in both singular categories. But, in a complete 180, season 6 saw London the tops in everything. Most goals scored with 24. Least goals allowed with only 7 hitting the net! And they topped the division with going unbeaten in 9 of 10 games! This could possibly be the biggest turnaround between 2 season in the history of the league! 0 to hero is certainly a fitting term. So, what lead to this success?

The easiest finger to point is at K Clamence and his 8 goals. He alone scored more goals than London managed all of last season. Having that kind of boost in our attack led to a major boost in confidence and the belief that we could score when we needed to. next up would be the emergence of Scud Muffin as an attacking helper with 5 assists. Papastathopolous lead the team in assists with 6 as well, which was a major boost from a defender. The outside back postiion has evolved over the past 5-10 seasons, and Papa is the newest evolution of attacking defenders. Those three players alone created such a boost in London's attacking force. But, the defense was also greatly improved. Le Tissier moved to Right Back to help strengthen our biggest weakness in season 5. Rumma continued to be a force as a central defender, and as mentioned before Papa popped off as a defender as well as getting forward and providing killer balls.
