The management of Adowa Accra FC is pleased to announce our captains for Season 9! After a team vote that saw six different players receive support, these two stood out and for good reason...
Our Captain is Thomas Llewellyn (@_Blitz_). The longest serving active member of Accra, Llewellyn was selected 9th overall in the Season Four draft, when Accra first came into existence. He has stepped into the needed DC role for the team, marshalling the backline and leading with experience. We are honored that Thomas has stuck with us through thick and thin.
Our Vice Captain is Karl Schenkinger (@Shnitzl). The defensively-minded German midfielder was a key pickup during Season Seven and is an important component of the team's core. Karl (like the other players who received votes) has a promising future in the SSL and we are excited to have him on board.
We want to thank everyone on our team for voting and being part of such a great locker room experience. That we honor two defensive players with the captaincy shows our commitment to solid teamwork and a strong foundation. We would like to place extra emphasis on the involvement of Blitz and Shnitzl in the locker room, where they continually foster conversation and community, truly leading by example.
