Reykjavik Dismantle Hollywood
#1
Normally whenever they’re in a match, Hollywood is favored to win. This was the same narrative when going in to the second leg of the cup match between Hollywood and Reykjavik. Reykjavik were heading into the second leg match down 0-2 on aggregate, so already they were behind the 8 ball and their opponent on the other side was Hollywood.

It wasn’t long before the commentators, supporters and players on the pitch were left speechless, as Reykjavik opened the scoring 1 minute into the contest. Just as everyone was catching their breath, Reykjavik scored in the 7th minute to tie the aggregate 2-2. The game went on with a little back and forth, but it seemed as though Reykjavik was dominating play. They eventually took the lead in the 22nd minute and made it 3-0. 3 minutes later it was 4-0 in the 25th minute and everyone was completely uncertain as to what they were witnessing.

The game ended with a 6-0 win by Reykjavik, completely dismantling Hollywood and moving on to the semi-finals. The whole team had a fantastic game, but Lochlan O’Rourke scored a hattrick and added an assist for a 4 point outing. Scott Sterling also kept the clean sheet against his former team in a game which I’m sure felt great to win. The next question is, does Reykjavik have what it takes to go all the way?
