Cup champs.
The two words that had once been the highest point of Tokyo SC's efforts are now presented as a regular occurrence. Squall wouldn't complain about it, third place in the league with a cup on the side was hardly anything to disappoint oneself about.
What did feel curious was seeing the state of affairs, now that he put his mind to it. Not too long ago, he could remember teams like Hollywood and Athenas giving them trouble yet now they were going down to the second tier. Yet here Tokyo was, still standing. Thriving too, a decent bit.
The result was, truth to be told, a textbook example of taking over a game. It stunk a bit that he couldn't prevent Reyjkavik from scoring twice, the guys were good too, but it did give him some peace of mind that a successful talk was all they needed to turn things around and take the Cup in punishing fashion.
Time moved on, he didn't feel quite as tired as he thought he'd get but he wasn't quite hitting the ball just right. Maybe a change of airs would improve but that probably wasn't gonna be in the SSL. The competition was getting too tough somehow.
