With the changes that the Simulation Soccer League decided to make with merging teams together from Division 1 and Division 2 came a nice change to the locker room atmosphere. With Laos becoming the Reykjavik affiliate in Division 2, our team gained a lot of great members to the locker room and also added another team that is at the top of their respective table. The winning culture of both teams is great and it’s something that everyone feeds off of, and we can see how players are training together, trying to improve their games from one another and it has been a very nice experience.
This merger was a perfect match: Two teams both competing at the top of their game and wanting to win their respective leagues. At the time of writing this, both teams sit 5-0-1 at the top of their tables, and if they continue playing the way they have been they could be on their way to great things this season. The one thing I am really looking forward to seeing is if they somehow end up matched up against one another during the cup. That would be one very interesting matchup, and with the teams intertwined, the tactics are going to play a very important role in deciding the winner of that match.
