Teitur Justinussen had hoped that he'd done enough to get drafted high(ish). After scoring 12 goals in 14 games for Stockholm Idrottsklubb, establishing himself as the top scorer in the SSL Academy season, Justinussen knew he would have a future in the SSL proper. So when he got the call from Sao Paulo informing him that he'd been drafted third overall by them, he was ecstatic. Brazil is a country known for its football, and Justinussen had always wanted to catch a game at the Maracana sometime in his life. Now, he would have the chance to play in Sao Paulo with players that he was kind of familar with like Steven Urkel, Marton Szelesi, and Alex Selich. And not only would he be playing with them, he'd be skipping the minor leagues entirely, which came as an even bigger shock. Justinussen would be starting his career in the SSL as a true rookie right out of the academy. He'd like to thank the Sao Paulo brass for trusting him enough to not only pick him third overall, but to start him off in the big leagues from the jump. Although Sao Paulo is going through a rebuild, Justinussen is confident that the team will grow into a force to be reckoned with soon, and can't wait to get started with them.
