Buenos Aires Slow Start
#1
Season 16 was finally here and Buenos Aires would be facing off against a tough opponent in Reykjavik United. The fans were out in full force excited to get the season underway. The matchup was even going back and forth with both teams playing extremely well. With a tied game 2-2, Reykjavik United would deliver a late dagger into to the fanbase of Buenos Aires with a go-ahead goal. Unfortunately, the draw would not happen, and Buenos Aires would start 0-1 on the season. The team and fans were excited to get back out there against Hollywood FC to get their season back on track. Buenos Aires was flat and missed a lot of individual assignments. Khabiri was busy from the start and the Hollywood FC assault was relentless. Hollywood FC would coast to a 5-1 victory without much resistance. Without Khabiri, the score would have been much worse. Fans began to let their frustrations on the team and the coaching staff post-game and on social media. Buenos Aires had to put that game in the rear view and prepare for a very tough opponent in Schwarzwalder. Buenos Aires came to play and were all over Schwarzwalder from the jump with a quick 2-0 lead. Schwarzwalder would answer back to make it 2-1. But Sean O'Leary would put the pressure on with a great in close goal to extend the lead to 3-1. Buenos Aires would tighten up defensively and hold out for the victory. Giving their keeper Khabiri a much needed morale boost.
