Kloulechad becomes Professional

After a season in the SSL Academy, Riamel Kloulechad is eager to get underway with his professional debut. Riamel was ecstatic to join Athenai FC. He knows one day he will aim to play for Buenos Aires, but for now must serve his duty of playing with the second team.

Even so, it will mark Kloulechad's professional debut when the season gets underway. And Riamel was relieved to hear the news that he would get to remain playing as a left back. Despite being a natural right-footer, Kloulechad enjoys cutting in from the left side. In fact, Riamel has spent very little time playing on the right side of defense at any level of organized football. Kloulechad himself admitted he would feel more comfortable at center than right back, oddly enough! There were discussions about the lineup given that Louie Duck is also a left back, but Duck offers additional versatility and will be more than comfortable playing right back in the duo's rookie season in Athens. 

Riamel was able to put up 4 assists along with a goal in S16 for Academy side Sydney City, but Kloulechad confided that he is aiming to put up bigger numbers in Europe this season.
