Nerve De Groot talks practice
#1
In another exciting week for the league, Nerve de Groot continues to practice for the games ahead. In his offtime, De Groot works on dribbling with speed, finding opportunities, and first touch goals. Unfortunately, some of the goals that União São Paulo have incurred were from highly accurate and well placed shots from mid air. Along with the defense working to strengthen their line, the offensive line works to become one of the best attacking forces in the league.

De Groot in a recent interview had a sit down with one of our reps to talk about his time with the team and what the players have been working on. He spoke of the drills the offensive lineup worked on, including practicing crosses. Crosses have created many opportunities for União São Paulo but the players have to create the execution. De Groot described another drill which involved 3 players on the left, mid, and right sides. All three practiced passing the ball amongst each other under the pressure of defensive players.  “Being able to pass while under pressure is critical to creating a scoring situation” De Groot explains. Switching fields as he describes it can greatly change up the situation and can create massive opportunities when played right.
