Hello and welcome to who’s Sam Volta? an article when I will explain the most of myself and how I decided to create that player based on my real facts.
So firstly, the first name is really my name. Kind of ironic, but I really didn’t want to create a new first name because I’m kind of lazy and it fits well with the last name. However, the name Volta is kind of a few mixes of things. First, I do like a lot the video game Sonic the Hedgehog. In fact, I played a lot since I’m young. It was the first game I played. I almost played all the Sonic games (except Sonic Origins and Sonic Dream Team). Second, I like a lot the science, especially the biodiversity and the ecosystems. So, a Volt is mostly the worldwide symbol of the electricity charge. Thirdly, I like listening to a lot of Electronic/EDM music. Fun fact, I do make music myself and post them on Spotify since August 2023.
For the render, it’s easy. As I said earlier in the second paragraph, I love the franchise of Sonic the Hedgehog, but one character stands out the most. It’s Shadow the Hedgehog. He looks like Sonic, but with black skin and red stripes and eyes. I do like a lot his dark lore that makes him stronger. So that’s why my player is from that render. He is fast, balanced, strong and smart (Shadow is smarter than Sonic lol).
Then it’s with his style and position. I made a player which can adapt in offense, but not as an attacker. In fact, I do played soccer when I was young (like when I was 7 and 8 years old). And I played that time as a RM (right midfielder). And my coach said that I was too much on the attack even when I was doing the RM job. But he can also switch to a winger if the Manager wants too, but it will be harder to adapt him with the right stuff because it wasn’t my real-life style of play. When I did my only Futsal competition, well it was hard to tell because I was more like a CB.
For my player, since he was a lot of speed and smart of tactics, he is likely to be an Attack Playmaker for attack only. To generate a lot of attacking chances even if he isn’t an attacker. His passion? Passes and shots! That’s why Volta is mostly good at these three things: Curling the ball, make some placement shots and changing foot while dribbling. In fact, in soccer (in real life or not), I am always playing with my 2 feet. I always don’t know what foot I’m mostly shooting at because I played so well on both feet. Also, his speed is the key. In fact, since his render is the fastest thing alive, he needs to get a good speed and a good endurance since Shadow is more endurant than Sonic, but a bit less fast (if he hasn’t his chaos emerald to boost him more, hehe).
So that’s all for my player. I hopefully everyone understands more why my player is like that (the position, the style of play, his skills, etc.). It’s a mix between me and Shadow the Hedgehog.
