The debut of Giacomo Santori
#1
It's the first matchday of the Academy league, and 8 teams are competing for the first place. One of these teams is the Victoria Falls Eagles in which Giacomo Santori plays.

In the first matchday the Victoria Falls Eagles plays at home the Istanbul F. K., the game will end in a resounding 1-4 victory for Istanbul.

Despite the result the focus on the article will be on Giacomo Santori debut:
Santori is in the starting XI and with a big surprise he has been assigned the number 10 and the captain armband (demonstrating the trust that the manager and the board have on this young talent), and even more surprising he will play on the left wing despite it not being his natural position.
Highlights of Santori's match is surely on the minute number 43 when thanks to a beautiful and fast one-two with the help of Narvaez Jr. Santori manages to equilise the score.
Despite the goal Santori didn't managed to impress his ability as a passer wasn't demonstrated both in quality or in quantity as demonstrated by the fact that of his only 27 passes only  74% of these were succesfull passes (the lowest of all movement players and only higher than the 20% by the goalkeeper Barflett).
All of the 4 crosses he tried didn't reach the target (although none of the crosses of the Victoria Falls Eagles failed to reach a succesfull conclusion).
Defensively Santori proved to be a player that doesn't commit fouls going for the tackle 9 times with a success rate of 66%; regarding air duels he was engaged 5 times and he has only been succesfull once (surely being 53 inches doesn't help in this regard).
All in all Santori was given a rating of 7.0, which would have been a lot lower if it wasn't inflated by the goal.

The debut is a match that is usually remembered as big stepping stone in the carrer of a player and also a big memory to go back to (especially if you end up scoring) but for Santori it will surely not be a sweet memory, although he scored he can't accept the fact that the Eagles ended up losing 1-4 at home, he will surely seek a better result in the next match against Sidney City.
