The youngest member of the famed Blackwood dynasty appeared in court in the afternoon of February 21st due to charges held against him after he crashed his car while drunk after a match he had played in for Port Royal.
The court hearing went as expected until fellow Academy league prospect Louis Ashworth, who Badrick V has a contemptuous relationship with, appeared in court to testify against him. Ashworth had reportedly witnessed the Jamaican at a party prior to his arrest, at which he allegedly had a little bit too much to drink and yelled at the staff. After this, Port Royal's winger is said to have left, announcing he'll be going for a drive in his "buzz car". Louis Ashworth pleads that he had attempted to stop him, but to no avail.
The judge had to cut short multiple interruptions by Blackwood V during Louis Ashworth's testimony. Blackwood was visibly getting increasingly agitated as it went on.
As the judge proceeded to sentencing, Blackwood could be seen twitching in his seat. While the judge gave the sentence - 3 months of jail time and 12 months probation - the 19-year-old footballer stood up and loudly exclaimed "Fiyah bun you", after which three men in green balaclavas barged in holding automatic rifles. They reportedly knocked a security guard unconscious with the butt of one of their guns. They said that they would be taking Badrick and that he would not be serving any time - "Not while am alive pal", said one of the masked men, of similar build to Port Royal player Sam Albinson, in a suspiciously scouse accent. After this, Louis Ashworth allegedly exclaimed that "Those aren't real guns" and that he's "[F]rom Glasgow mate" - which prompted one of the men to fire several shots into the ceiling of the court room. Louis Ashworth was visibly shaken - which reportedly amused Blackwood V, who added "Him have a fat 'matic."
The men proceeded to escort the young footballer out of the court room and into a van parked outside. As of February 22nd, the Kingston Police are still searching for the 19-year-old and encourage any citizens with information to come forward in exchange for a cash prize.
