MD7 - Seoul Mythic at North Shore
#1
Seoul Mythic took on North Shore in another thrilling match between the two for the Minor League, looking to regain S19 form.

STARTING XI FOR SEOUL:

GK:
Twinkletoes
RB: Bamford
CB: De Trella
CB: Primarus
LB: Stain
DM: Walker
DM: Ahmed
LW: Heung-Min
RAM: Miedema
RW: Varnson
ST: Qartista

Before the match, both teams sat on 9 points in the table, with Seoul in 5th and North Shore in 4th. A win for either sides would have potentially propelled them into 3rd, depending on how the AS Paris match went, although even with a win Seoul would have unlikely moved to 3rd with their -4 GD compared to AS Paris' 8 GD before the gameweek.

Very early on in the 4th minute, a North Shore corner gave them the lead. Mastache Maldonado sent a beautiful cross in for North Shore striker Rashford II to pounce on and send the message that North Shore wasn't messing around this match. Luckily Seoul were able to respond, and quite quickly too. In the 11th minute, Primarus passed the ball along to the right flank, with Bamford taking it down near the touchline. Bamford sent a low cut back to the top of the box, where midfielder Ahmed missiled the ball into the top left corner, equalizing for Seoul.

Rashford II was able to punish Seoul with a 2nd goal in the 29th minute from a poor passback from Miedema, where Rashford II took the ball, dribbled it past Primarus and slotted it bottom right corner, just out of the grasp of Twinkletoes.

An attack in the 40th minute led to another Seoul equalizer, after a poor clearence from North Shore DM Gaisburg led to Seoul's Ahmed heading the ball into the box, where Miedema layed it off for a beautiful rocket into the top near post corner from Heung-Min on the volley. Heung-Min immediately ran to the corner flag, hands waving in the air like he just didn't care! The half ended 2-2, already 4 goals and the match was looking as if it promised for more goals.

In the 71st minute, a Seoul throw in took place. Bamford threw short to Miedema, who returned the ball. Bamford proceeded to send a long ball across the field and it resulted in turning over possession. Shaheen sent a lobbed ball just outside the Seoul box on the right side of the field (looking from Seoul's perspective), which was nodded down by Derbatov to Rashford III (the alleged relative of Rashford II), who turned Primarus and calmly hit it bottom right corner with force, giving Twinkletoes no chance. Unfortunately no other goals were scored, and disappointment for Seoul once again crumbled upon them. According to stat analysts, North Shore outshot Seoul 28 to 7, with the on target numbers being 14 to 4. Pundits are starting to put out questions on the Seoul defense, as well as the attack who are unable to get the most out of their chances as of current.

To be honest, pretty tight game for a team better than us on paper. I can't wait to read more of this moving forward!
