THEME WEEK- Sam's Love
#1
Valentine's Day is coming up, and for a lot of people like me, it doesn't mean anything except just another day. Living the single life can be rough sometimes. However, why does Valentine's Day have to be about romantic love? It's supposed to be a day of love, it doesn't say that platonic love also counts. That's why I think of it as another special holiday to appreciate life. For me, Thanksgiving is to family as Valentine's Day is to friends. And without friends, life would be boring. So I take the day to be thankful for the friends that I have made, and the people I have been acquainted with. I'm thankful for my teammates from both leagues, and being so welcoming and helpful. And it's because of this that I have decided to go buy stuff for them. All of them handwritten cards to help show all the love I have for everyone. At least, that's what I heard that kids did in school anyways. But even so, a little handwritten card has sentimental value that money can't buy. I have been with my SHL teammates for 3 seasons now, and this coming season will be my last year in the J, so I plan on doing something extra special for them. However, my career with Tokyo has barely started, and I have made so many great friends, and even was invited to a podcast! Helena has not only been a great teammate, she has also been a nice roommate and a really amazing friend. So of course I plan on doing something special for her. The fact that my team has won 2 cups is also quite the feat, so I am going to plan to do something about that. Maybe a team get together or something. No matter what happens, I know my love will be known throughout both of my teams.
