GRADED: Half season review of Giacomo Santori
#1
The first half of the season is over, this is usually the time when everyone makes the point of their situation.

After a disastrous academy season at Victoria Falls and after being drafted in 57th place the spotlight wasn't on Giacomo Santori which might have been a blessing for him.

Arriving at the Athênai training ground he was immediately asked to completely switch his style of play, the team needed a more offensive player instead of another midfielder, although unfortunately for Santori he would still start on the left wing.

And so the rookie season in the minor league begins, unfortunately for Santori there won’t be a great debut as the first match of the season will be an 1-1 draw against Kaapstad with an anonymous performance from him.

The first goal contribution wouldn't let itself wait as in the second match Santori scores his first goal with the Athênai shirt in what would end in a 3-2 defeat against Inter London.

After matchday 5 Athênai founds itself at 4 point, the manager had to go back to the drawing board and from there after Santori will now play on the right wing.

On matchday 6 the new formation of Athênai will play against Krung Thep, now on the right wing Santori plays well reaching a grade of 8.0 the highest he has ever reached so far while also scoring the first goal of the game, unfortunately for Athênai the game would end in a 3-2 defeat.

Santori will manage to surpass last season record of goal scored on matchday 8 when he would score his third goal of the season in a game that will unfortunately end in a 3-2 defeat in favour of Rapid Magyar.

The last match of the first half of the season is matchday 9 against Seoul in which Santori will managed to score a goal and an assist (the first of his career) and achieve a grade of 8.6, despite this the game would unfortunately end in a 3-2 as a last second header by Santori will hit the crossbar, then the post, and then after bouncing two times on the line the ball will be kicked away by a defender.

All in all Santori can be happy of his season so far, despite the initial trouble caused by his new position he founded himself well in his new role, having already doubled the last season record he will certainly aim for more.
