Academy Managers

As announced in the most recent state of the league, we will be opening up for official Academy Manager jobs starting in S21. The role of an Academy Manager is to be seen as a limited version of an Organization/Assistant Manager focusing on the community building aspect of the manager role. Academy Managers will also be able to submit tactics for their Academy team during the season. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience in the manager role.

The responsibility of an Academy Manager is to lead one of the eight Academy teams, connect with their assigned Academy players during their first season in the league, keep them engaged and help answer any questions (alongside the general Academy Coaches and BoD members).

What is the pay?
The job pay is a weekly PT pass + $2.5 million seasonal pay.

- What kind of community culture do you hope to build?
Since we are in the academy, I'd probably try to have fun with my players, discussed with them to see if they have ideas for tactics they'd like to run. Besides that I think just a good vibe mentality. Like I mentioned in my previous Managers application, I really love the spirit of Ginga, so it would be something that I'd implement with my players.
- How will you engage new users and build the community?
I'd engage with them 100%, if let's say that I become Manager for Victoria Falls Eagles, I'll for sure share my past experiences and make them comfortable. To build a community with a team, we need to be positive and remember why we started loving this sport in the first place: because it was fun. Frustrated of losing, yes it will happen but as long as they have each other, even in losses I think there is potential to build something out of it.
- How would you resolve any potential conflict that can arise within the community?
Would be case by case, I'd try the best I can to solve the issue with the concerned individuals but if it becomes to big or too problematic, I'll go seek overview with higher ups
- What would you say makes a good sim league manager?
Easy to talk to, have a fair share amount of hours on FM, I don't hesitate to try weird tactic
- Is there someone specifically you look up to as a sim league manager and why?
I don't have anyone in particular, since I don't know everyone yet BUT if I would have to say a single name, it would be TontoTut. Each time we talked, it was already a pleasure to do so and transpire good vibes.
- Are there any obligations in your life or in sim leagues that we should be aware of that may limit your time or availability?
9 to 5 job five days a week, taking care of family members, partner, etc. I'd say a somewhat normal life of yes the SSL is fun but it doesn't bring food on the table

Other things you would like to add:
Though it is my first time in a SIM League, I still think I'd be a great candidate for the job. And if I'm not picked, no problem I'll try again.
