Kaspars is Eager
#1
Kaspars is eagerly awaiting some game time. There is only so much time in the gym, at the practice facility, and out on the town that one can do before the itch for game action takes control of your every thought. Nothing can replace the feeling of an opponent bearing down on you, eagerly seeking any opportunity to strip you of the ball and convert it into a scoring chance. There’s nothing like feeding a ball into space for one of your teammates to fly into. There’s nothing reading a play perfectly, swarming in for the perfect tackle, and earning possession back for your squad. There’s nothing like setting up for a free kick, a corner, a penalty, and feeling the air suck out of the whole arena, as we all wait for whatever moment is about to happen. There’s nothing like the rush of an ill-lofted card, and the anger, the passion that oozes out as you fight your certain sentence. And of course, there’s nothing like heading back to the locker room after a well fought victory, one that you, and everyone in that room earned through every drop of sweat over their career. There’s nothing like it, and Kaspars is eager to feel again.

Glad to hear Kaspars enthusiasm. This article contained a more cohesive structure and the narrative felt more compelling to me. I began to see what makes Kaspars love the game. A deeper dive into it that would build more history would have tipped the scale towards a 4, but this is still a strong article.
