Kaspars Kalinins has gotten a new sponsor this week! It’s a local startup that specializes in custom made athletic prosthetic limbs, and he’s been trying some new feet out heading into Rova’s next game. Kaspars’ left foot used to be something of a weakness, but now, he’s found greater ability in not only his left foot, but also in his right. He’s been trying to nail some shots from distance, as he’ll be getting some edge of the box chances under this Liffeyside tactical system, and he’s seen some real improvements with both feet.

If one were to guess his dominant foot at this point, they’d struggle to find any difference between the two. Not having to hesitate working the ball on either side, whether that is something as simple as a pass reception, a one on one move, or as dramatic as a shot, expect to see more touches from the left foot now.

Kalinins and Turk have been tearing up the field in the Friendly matches, and look to continue their reign of terror for many seasons to come. This midfield duo make up a huge part of the Liffeyside identity, and hold the system together, both offensively and defensively. That little element of surprise from Kalinins should win many more opportunities for his team over the course of his career, and that all comes from the hard work of his agent, and of course, our local sponsors.
