Reviewing Athênai FC vs Inter London on Matchday 1 for S1. The match that started the Simulation Soccer League.
But first, let's have a look at the- nah, I'm trolling.
These two teams are about to show us their early impression, they're about to show us what they can do, they're about to show us what the Simulation Soccer League is all about.

In the 42nd-43rd minute, Athênai FC won a corner with Icarus Isosceles to take it. Icarus crosses the ball into the box into whoever it's gonna land on, it lands onto- oh jeez, this is gonna take a bit to announce... In the 51st minute, Athênai FC won a throw in with Deedee Yoker to take it. Deedee throws it to Zinedine Gintonic, but Zinedine didn't know what he was doing that he passes it to whoever, but it goes to K Clamence who is literally the opposition. K does pass it to Nevin Kisbet, Nevin is gonna cross it to Liang Kuai, and he taps the ball into the back of the net for the equaliser, and the first ever goal in Inter London's history.
In the 57th minute, Athênai FC had a chance to take the lead again. Andreas Aadnevik attempts to make a run with the ball, he passes it to Olsen Minion, John Wellerman does a clean tackle, but Zinedine Gintonic is able to recover the ball back as he passes to Icarus Isosceles, he's in the box, probably could've went for the tap-in, but he goes near the sideline, he goes for a risky shot, but Tony Yeboah saves the shot. Tony is looking for options, he waits for a bit, and he goes for a quick cross catching Athênai off guard as Jack O'Conner gets the ball first, he makes the run, and Jack makes a good goal giving Inter London the lead.

In the 89th-90th minute, Athênai FC won another throw in this time with- well, we'll call him "GFuel Energy Formula" taking it. GFuel throws it to Zinedine Gintonic, but passes back to GFuel, he looks for options, but he passes backwards to Budget Busquets, he looks for options just standing there. MENACINGLY! Budget does end up passing to Hendrik Lind, Hendrik attempts to make the run, but passes backwards again to Budget. Budget does pass the ball to Olsen Minion, yet Olsen also passes backwards to Budget as he crosses to GFuel meaning I can say, "GFuel Energy Formula, Zinedine Gintonic, Budget Busquets, Hendrik Lind, and Olsen Minion all pass the ball to each other wasting time." GFuel does attempt to make the run though as he then passes Icarus Isosceles, passes to Olsen, passes backwards to Budget Busquets AGAIN! HOW MANY TIMES ARE THEY GONNA PASS BACKWARDS TO BUDGET BUSQUETS?! GIVE HIM A BREAK! Budget does run forward, passes to Hendrik again, passes to Christian Silver, Christian crosses to Icarus, he passes backwards to GFuel though, passes to Olsen again, then back to GFuel, crosses to Icarus again, but Connor Azpilicueta makes a foul in the box giving Athênai FC the first penalty ever in the history of the SSL. Icarus Isosceles volunteers as tribute (Hunger Games reference). Icarus taking the penalty...
and he scores the first ever penalty in SSL history, might be the start of a rapid comeback.

In the 91st-92nd minute (stoppage time), Inter London won another corner with Mazrim Taim to take it. Mazrim crosses into the box to whoever, Aleksandar STOJAKOVIC IS WATING FOR IT, AND HE GETS ANOTHER HEADER CANCELLING ATHÊNAI'S COMEBACK!
Jack O'Conner won the PoTM award with an 8.6 rating, and Icarus Isosceles was the best performing player for Athênai FC with a 7.1 rating.
