Big Changes for Lam

Time flies, half of season have already gone by since Nico Lam is picked up by Xelajú Cósmico FC in the first round of the SSL Prospect Draft, a great start for the rookie, but out of everyone's expectation he is now playing as the right attacking midfielder for AF Masques Sacrés, some of his supporter voices their confusion by the decision, since Lam stand out ability have always been his vision and passing as a midfielder, he is even picked as one of the midfielder for S22 Academy Team of the Season. Amidst everyone's confusion, he have actually performed quite decently getting one goal, one assist and one Player of the Match award, not bad for a player just transitioning to a new position.
We got to interview Nico Lam for a few questions.
So there have been quite some changes for you this season, first how is the minor league compare to the academy league?
''The matches are far more fast paced in the minor league, everyone is stronger and faster, it is quite hard to adapt to since I have never been great with physicality.''
But personally I think you are holding your own when it comes to physicality, is there any secret to adapting quickly?
''Its just a lot of hard work, I have been conditioning myself ever since joining the team, just physical training all day everyday, because I am lagging behind even amongst my fellow rookies.''
Another hot topic for you would be the position change, did you expect it and how do you feel about it?
''No, I didn't expect it at all, I was as shock as everyone else, but I think I just have to trust the manager for the decision, if he sees potential in me playing as a attacking midfielder, then I will simply accept it, I am still a rookie afterall, I don't have much say in this.''
Last question, would you like to return back to a midfielder?
''I don't think I can give a straight answer for that, its not about the position but how I want to play as a footballer, for now I simply have to do what the team need me to do, once my ability exceed that, then I can play my brand of football as a playmaker without hindering the team.''
