Halfway Point for Masques
#1
With us now at the official halfway point in the season, let's deep dive in to Masques Sacrés and see what they will want to improve upon in the 2nd half of the season.

Goals Scored: 22 (Joint 9th)
This is something that will need to improve. The strike partnership of Walker & Munro has scored 12 of these goals with Munro leading the way 8 goals and Walker lagging behind his strike partner with only 4 goals. Their attacking wide men of Taarel and Lam who regularly play as inside forwards have mustered up just 2 goals & 1 goal respectively while only providing 1 assist combined. Something that will need looked at for the better of the team to try and get them firing. The main threat of assists has came from the teams wing-backs Warrick and McNeil providing 14 assists (Warrick 11 vs 3 McNeil). To get more goals they will need to get their wide men firing further up the pitch as of right now, they tend to be a sterile threat.

Goals Conceded: 18 (3rd)
A good defence so far has allow Masques Sacrés to always be in games despite not yet showing the firepower they are capable of. No matter who they have played, they have always stuck in the game with a tight defence. Having only conceded 3 goals in one match (against AS Paris no less) they will be happy to continue in this fashion and hopefully add to their 3 clean sheets this season. More of the same.

Player of the half season: Chris Warrick
With 11 assists to his name and an average rating that puts him comfortably into the top 10 within the league, it was a no brainer for this. Warrick has been providing attacking impetus to this team whenever he has been on the ball. Defensively he has been strong (despite two mistakes leading to goals) but has more than made up for those mistakes leading the way with strong tackling and interceptions throughout the season. If Masques want to climb the table further they will need rely on his strong performances to continue and hope he inspires his team to greater heights.

End of season hopes: Top 3 has potential if scoring output improves

Currently only 1 point off 3rd spot, they have to aim to hit this mark. This would see a big improvement from their 7th place finish last season. They got 32 points last season and on track to hit 36 this season, an improvement for sure but one that could and possibly should be more come the final standings.

Draft Class Potentials: Stefano Rosini & Brad Woof
With Warrick & Mobek playing so well, they might well need their replacements as both COULD be called up to Xelajú Cósmico FC. Rosini looks like he could make the shift backwards to the left hand side of the defence with Brad Woof being the standout Goalkeeper in this class so far being a perfect pickup to cover Mobek.
