Is it the Dragons time?
#1
Has the tide finally turned for the Drawgons? It would certainly seem so as we near the halfway point of S23 in the SSL. The Shanghai Dragons seem to have finally found their footing, placing themselves 4th in the table, behind fellow expansion club Tenochtitlan (-4 points), and then mainstays USP (-4 points) and Hollywood (-8 points).

Coming off a disappointing season, Shanghai has played their hearts out and found themselves back in the sims graces with a 5 game point streak, coming with wins over Cosmico, Romana, Liffeyside, USP, and a draw against Hollywood. It seems the Dragons have finally begun to age into their TPE and show the talent that fans of the sport have known was lurking under the surface for the past few seasons.

It has also been a decidedly team effort for the Dragons with the offense coming from a plethora of players including Hohenhahn, Delvecchio, Johnson, Voda, and an absolute stone wall in net in Takechi. All of these have combined, plus some of the other unsung heroes of Shanghai, to create a team that is ready to compete and take on the big players of the SSL. Can they continue to keep this momentum going as the season progresses? Unsure, but it will be an exciting time nonetheless for the Dragons fans out there.
