Leg Chase Leg Race
#1
Kaspars Kalinins, after developing his left foot for ball manipulation purposes, is now trying his absolute best to develop his left foot for speed purposes. His right foot is at least 20 units of fast, but his left is just a measly 18 units of fast. And since you’re only as fast as your slowest foot (everyone knows this, c’mon) then that means he needs to focus some more energy on that slowest, leftest foot.

He’s been participating in a lot of one legged races, obviously on his left, trying to beat out everyone else’s right. He’s been doing some sprints between his own left leg and his own right leg, and while his right leg always pulls ahead at the end, the margin is getting smaller every week. He’s also been trying to do some tinkering, some overclocking if you will, on the internals of his left foot, trying to see if he’s leaving any performance behind out there.

Kalinins thinks he’s definitely getting close to 19 units of speed out of his left foot. That would increase his current speed by about 5%, just by focusing on his weaker foot. I’m sure his right foot got some benefit out of it too, but until it’s the slower foot, and it may never be, I guess we won’t know.
