Larv Itar welcomes in the new year!

The new year has come and gone and it's time to check in on how Larv Itar is doing with his New Year's resolutions. He set himself some simple goals for the new year. Keep in shape, work towards playing in the majors and to make sure he has fun on the pitch. The first two are easy enough. He keeps showing up everyday to training, making sure he is eating right and doing extra cardio to work off those Christmas calories. Having fun on the pitch is where things can get tricky, especially as the season gets further in, the stakes get higher and frustrations can sink in.

Well, this week, we had a little surprise for those at Krung Thep. Snow! It snowed hard and left a thick layer of fresh, powdery snow. Perfect for making snowballs. The coached never stood a chance as they were peppered by chunks of slush. They dove behind the snack tables, using them as makeshift shelters. Quickly, they prepared their own salvo and launched them at the players. Both sides built forts and had a day of chucking snowballs at each other. Nothing like a bit of childlike fun as the pitch was completely unusable.

It was a great way to ensure that fun was had on the pitch, even if it wasn't in a game situation. A reminder that not every game has to won or lost on there.
