Benelux Excels
#1
The WSFC continues to showcase spectacular performances along with all sorts of twists and turns. Group D saw a jaw dropping match hosted by Roo Grounds, Mata-Utu. Benelux faced off against the British Isles with a ferocity no one expected. In only the 7th minute, Nerve de Groot, hailing from Uniao Sao Paolo, hammered the first goal in. The next twenty minutes were a back and forth, both sides failing to score when a 39th minute goal broke the silence. The first half ended 2-0, this score being consistent with the first 12 minutes of half two. Hercule Hefeweizen scored goal three in the 57th minute. Nerve de Groot would achieve a mesmerizing hat-trick performance following the previous goal two minutes later. The match would see no more goals as both sides were relentless with their shots.

There were some heated moments as 3 cards would be given out within 12 minutes of each other. Hefeweizen was booked in the 76th along with Ryan Van Eyndhoven in the 88th. The British Isles would have Sterling Scott earn a yellow in the 84th. With the match ending 4-0, Nerve de Groot would be named player of the match with three goals and one assist. Goalie Maarten Slothlenburg also rose to the occasion with 12 blocked shots at goal and none conceded.
