S24 preview for Liffeyside/Rova
#1
Now that we have officially rolled over to S24 we here in the Liffeyside clubhouse are looking to build on our success. Surprisingly 4 teams secured double division 1's with their minor and major league squads ourselves being one of them as Liffeyside squeaked into the 6th spot on the final matchday of the regular season to earn the initial promotion to division 1. Rova comfortably finished in 3rd place in the minors side.

Staying in D1 is going to be a challenge as now every game is going to be worth more and we are matched up against the other teams who also secured promotion. But we are not going into this season resting on our laurels.

During the draft we were able to move up to 5th overall to secure the S24 class leader in TPE @lemonoppy Lisfor Ilovezeagle. Lisfor is set to join the Rova squad already with the S23 class leader in place in @jacobcarson877Karson Kalinins. We also were able to add two other picks in the S24 draft that we think will be major additions to the squad in Patrick Zweig @saket23 and Otto Rocker @Prayl07

We also bolstered Rova in addition through subtraction a little bit for the Liffeyside squad. We signed Puma Superhoops @kdr which pushed @BayleyJoseph Mathys Hendry down the depth chart for the time being but will add a veteran presence in the middle of the Rova pitch. Save for Harvey Danger who retired, the rest of the Rova squad returns all a year more seasoned and ready to show their third place finish wasn't a fluke.

The one other player not returning to Rova is Orla Hughes-Galloway @boom who earned a promotion to help out in Liffeyside. The addition of Orla and Puma and the growth of the rest of the squad including two more class leaders in TPE (@Crunk S22 Nyron Nosworthy and @GHamss S21 Snor Lax) should help keep Liffeyside in any game we play in.
The final addition to the squad was made in part of the trade to move up to 5 in the draft where @Lumosityfan Kel Varnson joined us and the hope is he will help give our forwards another boost in goals scored for Liffey.

TPE wise we still are a bit behind some of the league powerhouses in the majors like USP and Hollywood for the majors. And Paris and Kaapstad in the minros, but we strongly feel primed to surprise some more people in S24.
We will have 13 players on each roster and that will allow us the flexibility to do some matchup based football. All in all this is going to be an exciting season with the new faces, and returning ones primed to help us not just avoid relegation, but perhaps make a run at a league title or two.
