Here we are and season 24 is here. The long wait for football is finally over as domestic teams get back down to business and start their prep for the season ahead. Will their off-season planning set them up for success or failure? Only time will tell with the myriad of issues and problems that can occur over the coming weeks.
Masques Sacrés will be pleased to be competing in D1 of the minors this season and no doubt will not want to go hurtling straight back into D2 at the first time of asking. That will be objective number 1. Objective number 2 will be to compete and show the top teams in the league they are ready for the fight. With further draftees coming in to supplement the squad and make their own mark on the season, they will be looking for more of the same from last season. They had a decent scoring record but an impressive defensive record with the 3rd best in the league. They will want that to continue.
Likewise they will be expecting more improvement from their players in the last 2 draft classes and hoping they will reap the benefit from playing at a higher level than before, something that will surely keep them in good stead for the future.
Backroom changes have also been made with @CamGoldenGun being promoted to the Assistant Manager (some say this is Assistant to the Manager) which will hopefully be a big boost to the team as he brings his considerable knowledge to the team.
They will be a team to look out for with them seemingly drafting well in the past 3 drafts, but will they need to continue to wait until that pays off or will it start to pay-out this season?
