867 is a year of chaos. In the north, King Aelle of Northumbria killed the legendary Viking Ragnar Lodbrok by throwing him into a pit of snakes, condemning the British Isles to centuries of bloody raids by his descendants. In the south, Muslim Leaders launched assault after assault on the last Catholic Hispanic strongholds in an attempt to seize the entire peninsula. In the east, numerous nomadic peoples flocked to the islands, destabilizing even the most advanced civilizations with their skilled horsemen from the steppes. Finally, in the center, the Carolingian princes were divided and engaged in endless wars, gradually leading to the end of their dynasty.

It is in this era of change that 25 characters will try to avoid being forgotten by writing their own adventures on the pages of our world's history.
