#3 Media Day [Now Open to S23 Players]
Career Task #2

After a successful 1st season with Masques Sacrés, Walker became quite the cult hero back in his home country of Northern Ireland, with his pictures plastered everywhere in his home town of Carrickfergus. Wherever he now goes, people want to know what it's like to play for a top team and if @CamGoldenGun really is a stereotypical Canadian and lovely (Answers: It's amazing and no, behind the scenes he's totally different but he's now the AM so ignore that all, he's awesome!).

Walker's new found celebrity had afforded him the chance to select and choose his sponsorships, he only ever wants to be part of something that he believes in. Thankfully his agent came to him with a sponsorship opportunity to become the face of Discover NI, a company dedicated to showcasing the unique and memorable destinations within his country, with him now being pictured enjoying all the wonderful sights around his beloved country.

This took him to places like "The Giants Causeway" where the legend of Finn McCool was born (Giants Causeway), The Marble Arch Caves were if it is raining on the day you go (very likely in Northern Ireland) the caves groan and echo making it very eerie experience (Marble Arch Caves) and The Dark Hedges, made famous from the wildly popular Game of Thrones and is said to be visited by the Grey Lady Ghost (Dark Hedges).

He was offered the chance to play the many great golf courses around the area, including two which are routinely including in the best 100 courses in the world. Royal Portrush which held the last golfing Major of the season The Open in 2025, and Royal County Down a course with views that need to be seen to be believed

It's a campaign Walker was thrilled to be apart of and one he will look to continue as his career progresses and hopefully more sporting accolades follow.

Approved - I hear Dublin is nice if you want to send some people to catch a Liffeyside Celtic game :-D

Career Point Task #2

Wow....

What a season I have had, honestly it still feels completely surreal to me... especially after having such a bad start, never in my life would I have expected this year to go like this.

But it has! and with success comes money and fame baby!

A week ago I got reached out by a bunch of different companies. There was a shoe brand that wanted to work with me, I got asked to be in an insurance commercial heck I even got a bunch of crypto scams in the dm's.

But I had to turn all of it down, it just did not feel right, besides it was not like I was hurting for cash.

However I just received an offer I can not refuse, I have been asked to be on the front cover of a BRAND NEW FOOTBALL GAME.
I was extatic, this was the dream! I love video games and ever since I was a kid I would look at messi, at ronaldo at ronaldinho on the cover of Fifa and I would dream of one day reaching the same dizzying heights as they had.

Now... I did not get on the cover of Fifa to be clear, its a game called: Super Awesome Football Hero Max Pro Deluxe Edition Remastered Definitive Gold or SAFHMPDERDG for short.

It is you know... up and coming... its like way bigger in Japan, you would not have heard of it... it got like a very dedicated fanbase you know.

Anyways, I know I am not in the big leagues yet, however this still feels like a milestone, I know for one that as soon as SAFHMPDERDG comes out I will be grabbing a physical copy!

Come to think of it I dont think ive even been paid yet....

Approved - And let me be the first to pay you for your photos on SAFHMPDERDG

Jesper Sjöman, after establishing himself on AC Romana's starting lineup, has become quite well known in Sweden. Not quite a household name yet, but someone whose name people will hear and think "Oh, I think I've heard of that guy, I think he's a hockey player?" Close enough. But someone from his somewhat small hometown of Visby becoming a nationwide, perhaps even worldwide, celebrity is a big deal, especially for businesses from his hometown. One in particular jumped at this opportunity. You see, in Visby, there's a small chain of burger joints by the name of Mel's Diner. It's a funky little burger chain, with the interior filled with all kinds of 1950s-80s American themed decorations. Figurines of old cars, neon signs, more statues of Elvis than you'd expect an average burger place to have. Jesper used to be a Mel's regular. He'd go to the one down by the sea for lunch quite often, it was a popular spot for him to hang out with his friends after school - it was the cheapest place (barring McDonald's, but Donken doesn't have the aura) (yes, Swedes call McDonald's Donken, I've lived here for 3 years and I'm still not used to it) where a 13 year old whose only source of income is his allowance could get some greasy, high calorie food to fuel himself before practice. When he comes back to Visby, he always goes back to Mel's at least once, both for the nostalgia and for the genuinely very good burgers. It got to the point where he became familiar with the owner of the chain. And one day, in the middle of his first season as a Roman, Jesper got a call, from the owner. He was asked if he'd star in an ad for Mel's, as they were finally expanding outside of Visby and opening their first location on the Swedish mainland, in the heart of Stockholm. Jesper was the perfect spokesperson for them, as not only does he genuinely enjoy Mel's, but he also played in Stockholm for a year in the Academy League, so he was very well known by the locals. It did not take any convincing at all, and Jesper was on the first flight to Stockholm. He not only starred in an ad for Mel's, he showed up to the grand opening to their new location and was the first customer they ever served, with his go-to order - a Rauk 66 burger (smashed patty, bacon, cheddar cheese, fried onions, caramelised onions, truffle mayo, tomatoes) with the tomatoes removed. It made for some very nice photo-ops.

400-something words, even with the mcdonald's sidebit removed

(in case you're wondering, this is an actual burger chain in Visby, and that burger is my actual go-to order when I go there)

Approved - Sounds like i need a real life trip to Mel's that Rauk 66 burger sounds awesome.

There is not a single thing that Jay Cue Jr. would like to have as a corporate sponsorship other than something related to alcohol. As everyone knows by now (if you do not know at this point, maybe you should pay a lot more attention), Cue Jr. loves to drink. Especially wine. But beer is great also. So, being a massive part of the league and one of the most famous players to ever grace this space, it comes to no surprise at all that most winemakers want a partnership with him, and as soon as possible.
After a lot of offers and some time to consider those, during the offseason and after being crowned with the Pyrénées team, he decided to sign with the "Caminhos Cruzados" team, a very well know wine company based in the Dão Region, in Portugal. They make incredible wines, and with Cue Jr. being a massive fan of their beverages way before coming into the league, it comes to no surprise that he chose them to be the face of the brand. It was that and also the fact that they are paying him millions of euros for it, while giving him an unlimited supply of bottles, delivered directly to his massive wine cellar in Ireland. Now, you would think that a football superstar would stay away from alcohol during the season, to maximize his fitness and condition. But not Cue, he is fueled by the wine, so he plays a lot better while having a few glasses in his stomach, than without it. The fact that he is buzzed while playing is what makes him run a lot without feeling tired.

Wine is great, he can recommend it. And you will see his face on tv, social media and outdoors very soon. And if you want to try some wine, just shoot him a message and feel free to show up at his house.

Approved - Hope you bring a few of the bottles into the clubhouse with you next matchday!

(Side note, this career task is set BEFORE the Panenka incident)

Van Eyndhoven X Upfront
Although he wasn’t entirely satisfied with his performances, (and neither was a certain German who kept annoying him about it), Il Capitano of Romana was slowly starting to make a name for himself.

He may not have been the best player on the pitch. He wasn’t one who always decided games. But he was always able to get the crowd going. And slowly, he was becoming a fan favourite.
But with rising popularity came attention.

Ryan was getting calls left and right from sponsors all over the world. Popular brands, big offers, and tons of impossible promises. He didn’t have to think about it much. Money, although nice, was never the problem. His salary was already more than enough. He didn’t really need any of it.

Until one day, a Dutch company called Upfront contacted him.

Upfront was mostly known for nutrition and supplements, but their proposal was different from all the other brands. With the rising costs of modern life, some parents could no longer afford to get their kids a membership at their local football clubs. Upfront wanted to change that. They didn’t want to sponsor Ryan. They wanted to pay for club memberships for children. And they wanted to build public football pitches and panna cages across the country.

They wanted his help.

Ryan didn’t hesitate for long.

He signed the deal almost immediately.

And then the process began, talking with local municipalities and a ton of uptight government people who wanted to use those spaces for housing. It seemed to never end.
But after a few weeks the first pitch was built, Ryan stood quietly on the sidelines, seeing the kids play football, smiles on their faces.

It might cost him a large part of his salary, but seeing this, it made it all worth it.

(Technically not a sponsorship, but its a partnership with a brand, that counts, right?)

Approved - Anything that helps kids counts in my book

Career Task #2

After a disappointing early exit in the WSCF for South America Riveras left the squad with the resolve that he still had to prove himself in the world stage and to come back stronger than before, however, for now he needs to think about the next upcoming season at AC Romana in which he has developed to be an X factor down the left side of the Italian squad. Now that he has adapted to the team around him and to the faster tempo of the Majors both the fans and the sponsors have taken an interested in him. It was thanks to all of those factors that a particular company came knocking to collaborate with him, one that he thought was very out of left field, but hey, you take what you can get!

The Pokemon Company has provided Riveras with a special challenge with one of their older games, specifically Pokemon Emerald and that's for him to complete a playthrough of said game under a certain set of rules that although not quite decided just yet are set to bring a SSL Flavored experience to this particular run of the game. This collaboration may be a little out of left field, but both parties are positive that its going to be a fun time regardless, time will tell if this sponsorship will be successful enough to warrant a second season of sorts with a different title or with different rules, community feedback and reception will be vital for this project to thrive.

At the moment there hasn't been a formal announcement on exactly what will this playthrough entail but more information will come soon through the regular written articles board.
