Academy Task 5: Port Royal is pretty neat
#1
Greetings, reader. My 3rd player has been created and assigned to Port Royal FC, one of the best branded teams in the academy. For my deep dive, allow me to introduce you to the team and discuss our strengths and how we're going to win the cup.

At the back, commanding the team's defensive line, is French GK Ahmad Ampharos. He boasts a balanced combination of key attributes, giving the opposition no weaknesses to exploit. His agile frame is able to take on the rare one-on-one as well as bounce across the frame of the goal at a moment's notice with impressive jumping reach and aerial reach. The importance of a well-rounded keeper to anchor a defense cannot be overstated.

Up next, currently playing as a CB, we have newcomer Thor Bǫllrstoppari hailing all the way from Australia. This is a player whose mental fortitude is unmatched on the defensive line. Even though this is his first season, he plays with the sort of composure of a true veteran. Getting around him is not an option. The only way to get past Thor on defense is simply to not get near him. Otherwise, you might as well gift wrap the ball and offer it as a gift, because he will end up with it one way or another.

On the edge of our defensive line is one of our most important engines: Max Velox. As fast as he is dangerous, Velox owns the entire right side of the pitch. His technical skills on the ball and blazing speed give him ample opportunities to showcase his wicked crosses. Turning defensive actions into offensive opportunities relies heavily on Velox.

Moving to the offensive side of the ball now, we find perhaps the most explosive attack in the entire academy.

The offensive plays often start with our wingers: Thomas Thunder and Yoshisaur Munchikoopa. Thunder operates as a dribbling cutter whose technique and quick feet allow him to get into positive areas, create space for himself, and test the keeper on the left side. Munchikoopa has a lot of the same skills, but is able to cross from the byline, getting all the crashing attackers high xG looks at net. All fullbacks in the academy fear facing Port Royal because of this duo of wingers.

In the middle of the creativity of this multi-pronged attack sits Scott Newman, the puppeteer. Well balanced (as all good things should be) in his physicality and mental toughness that can't be taught. A silky smooth first touch and a head screwed on straight during a scramble, Newman is the perfect rebounder and late crasher.

The cherry on top of this world-class attacking pastry is the striker His Cheeseburger. This striker is the definition of speed. If the opposition isn't playing with a mid-low block, then they run the risk of being completely burned and tripped over their heels while Cheeseburger races past them with ease. He's also the most technical dribbler player on the team, which means he can not only run past you onto a through ball, but he can also simply dribble around the opposition without giving them even a chance to react.

All in all, Port Royal is the most electric offense in the league. There is a high chance that this team rides the attack all the way to the championship.

"Turning defensive actions into offensive opportunities relies heavily on Velox."

That's certainly the plan from my side.
