2 big big games this week for us, first up was a massive game again Rova to really push us heading in to the last stretch of the season. And to say it didn't go to plan would be an understatement… we pushed and tried but we were unfortunately just dominated by a very strong performing Rova who's keeper was sublime in nets!
Ultimately the less said about the game the better, was just one we had to take on the chin and keep going as we knew we had another 6 pointer against Masques who were right on our tails in the league.
And so the Masques game arrives and was sadly yet another disappointment for us right when we needed the win to boost our confidence with the 3 matches left to go. Now we have slid out of 2nd place but we're still within reach of them. Having Athenai and then Seoul as out next to games we hope to keep pressing on and picking up points with the hopes that Masques could drop some points but ultimately if they don't then it comes down to an extra nerve wracking final game of the season.
We will be taking on Cairo who currently sit 4th and will be a tough test for us, and Masques will be taking on the newly crowned champions on Rova that will prove absolutely pivotal in the shape of the league table.
Going into the last game if we beat Cairo we would be reliant on Rova to do the business over Masques which would see us leap frog them by just a single point!
All to play for in these last 3 games for us and Masques, and even Cairo if the cards unfold just right for them… will be an interesting watch for any neutral that's for sure!
