For my final bounty this season, I'm just going to provide a quick recap from each of PRFC's 14 games this season. This was a fun season an I can't wait to see where I'll continue my career
Matchday 1: Port Royal FC 2 @ Athético 0
After some close chances early PRFC broke through in the 35th minute to take the lead. PRFC had more chances to score in the first half but couldn't capitalize. 5 minutes into the 2nd half, PRFC added one more goal thanks to Thomas Thunder. Athético has to be thanking whatever holy deity hey believe in because ethe score could've been much worse as PRFC dominate in this match
MD 2: Port Royal FC 0 vs. PS Jakarta 2
I guess the script flipped this time around as PS grabbed the lead and didn't look back. Not surprised that PRFC lost to Jakarta early this season as PS was the much better team in this game. Plus here's always a chance that PRFC can spoil the party when they have they travel to Jakarta when these two face each other for the final time this season. This game also saw the debut of my player Scott Newman, shame it had to be in a loss
MD 3: Port Royal FC 3 @ Victoria Falls 4
This was a rough watch. PRFC had a 1 goal lead 3 separate times and was leading 2-1 at the half. Credit to VF as they hung in there and made the game frustrating for PRFC. At one point PRFC had a 3-2 lead in he 2nd half only to blow it late. While rough it's better to get losses like this out of the way early as if they happen later in the season when the title is on the line is when it hurts the most
MD 4: Port Royal FC 3 vs. Sydney City 0
This was a much needed return to form for PRFC as they were playing a team that was composed of nothing but bots. PRFC took the lead early and didn't look back. Scott Newman recorded a brace with goals in the 28th and 75 minutes. PRFC dominate dthis one as SC only recorded 3 shots in this one and none of them were on target
MD 5: Port Royal FC 6 vs. Stockholm IK 2
PRFC's offense found its groove as they scored the most goals in a single game this season. PRFC led 5-1 at the half, although it could've been 5-2 had Butters Stotch not missed a penalty. SIK did make it a 5-2 game in the 79th minute, but the game felt out of reach at that point. His Cheeseburger provided the cherry on top with his 3rd goal of the match in the 82nd minute. PRFC was starting to show strong form as the halfway point of the season approaches
MD 6: Port Royal FC 0 vs. Istanbul F.K. 0
This was a rough result to swallow. Istanbul was near the bottom of the table at this point of the season and on paper this should've been a win for PRFC. I guess FM decided to say screw you to PRFC and gift Istanbul a draw. PRFC had chances, but just couldn't convert them. A draw like this can hurt a team down the line if the title race turns out to be close
MD 7: Port Royal FC 4 vs. Adowa Accra FC 0
A much needed win from PRFC after that devastating draw against Istabul in their last match. PRFC grabbed the lead in the 1st minute, but AAFC was able to hang in there for the remainder of the 1st half. It wasn't until; the 2nd half when PRFC started to pull away. At the halfway point of the season PRFC had a record of 4-1-2 and 9 points. They had to go on a massive winning streak and hope that PS Jakarta loses some ga,e to claim the title
MD 8: Port Royal FC 4 @ PS Jakarta 1
This was a huge game for PRFC and a much needed win to keep up with Jakarta. Even though PS Jakarta was the first to score, PRFC dug in and was able to find the equalizer early. The remainder of the first half was back and forth as both teams were looking for a breakthrough. 13 minutes into the 2nd half, PRFC broke through to take a 2-1 lead. 3 minutes later the dam broke open for PS and PRFC took a 3-1 lead. With a goal in the 90th minute, PRFC was going to win this match. With the 3 points PRFC inched closer to PS Jakarta, but they needed help if they were going to close the gap even more
MD 9: Port Royal FC 1 vs. Athético 0
This was a tough match for PRFC this time. Athético improved their defense and PRFC struggled to get on the board early. Most of the game was scoreless as PRFC had chances, but couldn't find the breakthrough. In the 85th minute, Munchakoopa scored the go ahead goal. While I wanted to see more balls in the back of the net I can't complain about a win. The important thing is try and keep pace with PS Jakarta
MD 10: Port Royal FC 3 vs. Victoria Falls 1
Another huge win for PRFC. PRFC took a 1-0 lead early in this one but VF answered back in the 28th minute to tie the game. Thankfully PRFC showed up in the 2nd half and scored goals in the 61st and 85th minutes to pull away. Once again PRFC picked up 3 huge points because later on in this MD, PS Jakarta also won. At this point in the season I still had some hope that PRFC could win the title
MD 11: Port Royal FC 3 @ Sydney City 3
This was a must win game for PRFC to keep up with PSJ and they failed to keep up. While it was nice that PRFC was up 3-1 in the first half. Conceding a goal at the 45+2 minute mark proved to be costly as it allowed SDC to get back in the game. From there SC scored 2 more goals in the 2nd half and PRFC couldn't find the back of the next. This late in the season this was a devastating draw as PS Jakarta increased their lead to 5 points. At this point there's little hope for PRFC to win the title barring some sort of miracle
MD12: Port Royal FC 2 @ Stockholm IK 1
Another must win game for PRFC and another scrappy game for them. PRFC scored early on in this one and maintained the lead throughout the first half. I would've been a 2-0 had the 2nd PRFC goal got wiped off the board after a VAR review for offsides. In the 61st minute, SIK equalized the match a 1 and it wasn't until the 80th minute when PRGC retook the lead. In the 85th minute it looked like SIK scored the equalizer, but it was called back after a VAR review. PRFC was able to escape with a much needed win, but the hopes for the title were all but over. The best the team could do was to try and finish 2nd in the table
MD 13: Port Royal FC 5 vs. Istanbul F.K. 0
This game was a murder. From the jump PRFC had the advantage and didn't let up. PRFC led 3-0 at the half and continued to press on in the 2nd half. Goals from His Cheeseburger and Max Velox meant that the "mercy rule" was enacted to bring the game to a quicker end. Earlier in the day, PS Jakarta beat Stockholm IK to clinch the title and that result combined with this win meant that Port Royal FC was locked into 2nd place in the standings. The best they could do was try to beat Adowa Accra FC to end the season on a high note
MD 14: Port Royal FC 4 @ Adowa Accra FC 0
The final game of the season for PRFC and all this game was only for bragging rights. Even though PRFC lead 2-0 at the half, they were in complete control of the game in the first half and AAFC struggled to get thsing going. While AAFC did play better in the 2nd half, it wasn't enough as PRFC continued to control the match and put up 2 more goals to seal the win
Even though Port Royal FC failed to dethrone PS Jakarta for the Academy title, this was an amazing season for the team. going 10-2-2 with 32 points is insane. Also consider that PRFC scored 40 goals and coincided 14 goals for a GD of +26, PRFC led all Academy teams in these 3 stats. I really enjoyed my time with the team and I'm expected for the next step in my player's SSL career
