Weekly PT #248- First Week Premier League

With the Premier league finally starting after the big event of the world cup. Been some quite interesting results so far in the first week of the premier league. Starting out game 1 of the season Arsenal vs Coventry  didnt get to watch it but Arsenal beating Coventry 3-0, not a shocking result but tough look for coventry meeting defending champs from last season week 1. Another 1 big shock and 1 medium shock with Man United Losing to Hull City 2-0 which is crazy. Everyone been talking down on these promoted teams such as hull city and coventry also Ipswich town. Another result is Sunderland losing to Ipswich Town well some may say not shocking it just showing you that the promoted teams again are no joke. 2 Games i think that should have been alot closer its Brentford vs Spurs and Brighton vs Aston Villa. Looking at the stats for Brentford and Spurs, the spurs had 59% Possession and only 4 shots on target to show for. Where brentford had 41% Possession with 8 shots on target, pretty clear brentford moving the ball quick to get a really good chance. Brentford beats Tottenham 3-0 , which i think isnt a shock but with all the hype and money spent from the spurs camp a little bit shocking. Another blow out game was Brighton vs Aston Villa with Brighton scoring early and kept the pressure on the neck. Alot of predictions were all over the place for Aston Villa in losing Morgan Rogers to Chelsea and others as well. Brighton had 72% Possession which is insane and again i know its week one but damm that is impressive for Brighton! This is why i personally think the premier league is the best league the bottom feeder teams beating giants or giant clubs im really excited for the season. The unknowns from now since last year is crazy and might be some crazy games coming ahead which im excited to chat about. :) Thanks.
