With the first game of the season underway and the cup qualifier round next, we were facing Montreal United in both matchups. In the first half, it was a very deadlocked game, with neither team getting any easy chances to score, and the match went into halftime tied at 0-0. It was tied up until the 79th minute when Greg Evil scored on an assist from Stig Stampe, but in the 83rd minute Joe Mormor got a red card sending him off to make it 10vs11. Unfortunately in the 88th minute we gave up a penalty, and they equalized the game, with not enough time for either team to score again, it ended up in a 1-1 draw for the league.
In the cup match, we were looking forward to getting our revenge and getting the win. It started pretty slow again, but this time we were able to score in the 29th minute with a goal by Greg Evil again, with an assist from Arsène N’Goussou, and a few minutes later we scored again in the 39th making it 2-0 going into halftime. It took until the 60th minute when we scored again going up 3-0, in the 81st minute Greg Evil completed a perfect hat-trick and 2 minutes later Arsène N’Goussou also scored making it 5-0. Eventually, in the 89th minute, Bruce McAllister scored ending the match in a 5-1 win for us.
