Cairo’s season so far has been… tumultuous to say the least. Cairo currently sits at 1-1-2 on the season, with a goal differential of -2. And before the last match-day, they were winless on the season, only able to beat AF Masques Sacres most recently. As a team that entered the season with hopes of finding promotion, it has been quite a disappointing start. Their star player Leonardo Stone has not performed like the star player everyone thought he was set to become this season. Instead, we are getting more of what looks like rookie Leo, which is to say, not great soccer play. Through the first 3 matches, Leo had an average match rating of a measly 6.47, to go alongside 0 goals. As Cairo’s starting striker, Leo had 2 total shots, 1 on target. It was a horrific start for Leo. However, in the most recent match-day with Cairo’s first win, Leo was able to show a little more of what he’s capable of, getting Cairo’s 4th goal of the match to secure the win. Leo was able to score his one beautiful goal on just 0.2 XG. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the young star, and now, with some momentum, both Stone and Cairo as a team look to keep up the hot streak and start a streak.
