League and Cup Champions

Congratulations to Hollywood FC who is the first team in league history to win the division three seasons in a row. Congratulations are also in order for Seoul MFC who won the Division 2 championship and will see themselves promoted to Division 1 alongside Inter London. Relegated to Division 2 are AS Paris and Cairo City.

Tokyo S.C. managed to secure the win in the SSL Cup and lift their second cup trophy in league history, beating out Hollywood 1-0.

S7 Off-Season

Per the SSL Calendar, the final week of the season is designated as the off-season, officially starting on Monday (March 27) at midnight PST. There are a couple of things that are important to remember about the off-season that we want to summarize here. Please see the relevant parts of the Rulebook for more details.

Pending FA period
Any player that is on an expiring contract (no contract signed for S9) is considered a pending free agent. During the off-season teams may contact a pending FA and negotiate a contract. The player is not a free agent until the start of the next season (April 3, 2023) thus they may still sign an extension with their current team during the week without reducing the team's transfer budget. We just make to make one thing clear: A manager may not force a player to provide intent to sign. This week is intended for players to be able to talk to teams and be shown alternatives for how their future may look.

Re-rolls and Redistribution
S7 (last chance) and S8 players may re-roll their player during this off-season.

This is also the last week when S8 players may redistribute 100 TPE and/or their entire positional XP. S8 goaltenders may also use this redistribution to conduct a full re-roll to an outfield player.

S8 Prospect Draft
We are also gearing up for the SSL Prospect that is set to take place next weekend. More information about a specific time and a dedicated link to the draft list is going to be published during next week.
