I think it is time to talk about Chouinard’s début in the SSL. Drafted in the first round by Seoul Mythic FC in the S9 SSL Draft, Chouinard has been loaned out to Kaapstad FC, a Division 2 team. Chouinard was quite for the first couple preseason games, but it was during Kaapstad’s first Cup Game that Chouinard demonstrated all of his talent.
The team’s manager decided to put Chouinard on the starting XI and he told him that he will take all the free kicks for the team. They played against Red Star. In the 9th minute, Kaapstad got a free kick on the right side of the box. Chouinard took it and delivered a center that Canders should have grab… but it found Ramos’ head for a GOAL! First ever assist for Chouinard! He was so happy and he hugged Ramos after his celebration as they were both excited for their first contribution for the team!
In the 40th minute, Chouinard delivered a precised center to Da Silva for another goal! Wow, 2 assists in a game for a rookie?! This is insane, right? Well guess what… Chouinard delivered 2 more in the game! 4 assists for his first ever SSL Cup match! This is a dream debut for Chouinard, he did not believe it after the game and his teammates were impressed by his performance. By now, Chouinard proved that he belongs to the SSL and that he will become of the best CAM in the entire league!
