Youre and Reykjavik just completed an absolutely stellar season, even though it finished on a sour note. The bad news is, after roughly 85 minutes of fantastic football, Reykjavik fell victim to a couple last minute goals to see their chances at a magical cup run come crumbling down. Certainly underdogs going into it, the Icelanders held a lead for almost the entire match before seeing it go up in smoke at the foot of Ryze. And while that was a devastating way to see their season finish, the spirit in the locker room is still sky high. Reykjavik led all of Div 1 in xG and some analysts say that's the most important stat there is. But, the most important stat from this season in the eyes of Icelandic fans is that Reykjavik not only held their own, but guaranteed their place in Division 1 for another season. Rushford has built an incredible squad that should be able to grow and start challenging for the title sooner rather than later. Toure knows there's more he can do to bring his squad some hardware, so he'll do all he can this offseason to make it happen. There will definitely be some team bonding going on to help everyone vibe on and off the field!
