Atlas Uzun signs for Victoria Falls

The Victoria Falls Eagles have been signing promising youngsters left and right, but until now the Academy club has focused on bolstering its attack. It has great talent in the strikers Hjalmarsson and Polser, alongside key midfielders Hawkins, Brooks, and Tamime. But now Victoria Falls focuses on its defense in the signing of Atlas Uzun, a 6'4 midfielder capable of playing in a number of positions. While in an interview, Atlas claims he could play up front or at center half, Atlas Uzun has now made 2 appearances for the Eagles slotting in as a holding midfielder, and showing encouraging signs of a future talent.

Hailing from Istanbul, this Turkish defensive midfielder has been one to watch in Europe for a couple years now, and many were surprised to see him leave the continent. There were rumors circulating that clubs in England and Spain have been scouting Atlas for months, and it appears many international clubs have also been itching to be the first to sign the youngster on a professional contract. However, Atlas Uzun admitted he wanted to emphasize his development so playing time was his number one priority. We will see if this works out for the Turkish midfielder, or if he will fail to secure a spot at a top club now that he has passed on so many opportunities.
