My pre-draft thoughts
#1
Hello SSL management teams. A few of you have reached out to me and I appreciate that. I hope to hear from the rest of you before the draft.

To start off, I want to talk about how I've found the league. Right off the bat, I really like the pacing of the league. Everything feels tight. Not rushed, but also not much downtime. I feel like this pace is perfect for me. Recently I've been less active over on the SHL, and as a result, less active in Discord. For quite a while I've been more of a lurker in discord than an active participant, but lately, it feels like that is especially true. I've had no problems keeping up with the tasks and the sims here. While I usually don't see the sims at the time of the broadcast, I have been able to watch them on the same day most of the time. I still check into the forum at least once a day, so the task list has kept me current on predictions. All in all, it feels great.

Next, my player and my future. I've said a few times on the podcasts that I'm not married to center defender for my position. I'm happy to stay, but also completely open to enrolling depending on team needs. I intend to build my player as a big, physical type player, focusing on the physical attributes before mental and technical. That said, I'm more than happy to listen to build advice from people more knowledgeable about FM. I intend to stick the premise of a technically raw and physically gifted player. Refining his technical and mental attributes as he gets older and more experienced in the league.

Lastly, I want to shout out this entire draft class. I know I haven't been much of a presence in Discord, but I have enjoyed being part of such a big and active class. I hope this goes down as an all-time great draft class, and I look forward to seeing you all do great things in the league.
