Coming back to the league after a long inactive stint with my last player, Wesley Stains, I was excited to start anew, this time in the new SSL Academy, which was created during Stains’ career. Instead of an all around midfielder, my new player Aart de Trella is a center back with a knack for finding the back of the net. While his primary position is center back, and this is where I expect he will be lining up at the most, Aart de Trella (ADT for short) also has the capability to be played in the striker position, likely as a target man with his unprecedented size and aerial abilities. Yes, it is his skills in the air that best define this player. Aart de Trella has already picked up 2 goals for his Academy team, Stockholm, has he has the ability to dominate the weaker defenders in the Academy on corner kicks. Both of these goals came off corners, and ADT has had a multitude of chances to score more; they just haven’t gone in either due to fantastic saved by opposing goaltenders, or a lapse in technique from ADT. As his career progresses, he will only get better at heading, meaning he will continue to contribute offense from the back end while also defending the best attackers in the world.
